JOB DESCRIPTION
Purpose of the Position.
Project Coordinator will provide overall leadership and coordination to ENRICH Program implementation in the region. She/he will ensure timely planning, implementation, communication, monitoring and evaluation of the project activities within the region while maintaining linkages with key stakeholders including the district multisectoral nutrition steering committees, TFNC, RHMT and other implementing partners.
Major Responsibilities.
Projects/program Coordination and Support
Facilitate coordination to all project partners at regional and district levels including district multi sectoral steering committees, District council, regional secretariat and other relevant stakeholders.
Facilitate a technical assistant to the regions and districts to design and implement appropriate strategies for achieving maximal impact in the districts of implementation.
Work with DNuOs and RNuOs to initiate interventions that will contribute to the reduction of maternal and child mortality in targeted regions.
Work closely with Cluster managers and program development coordinators to integrate ENRICH interventions into ongoing Health, nutrition and livelihood interventions to enhance scale up and sustainability.
Work with other ENRICH implementing partners to ensure locally appropriate bio fortified crops are identified and production scaled up in the regions.
Work with other ENRICH implementing partners to ensure micro-nutrient powders are procured and distributed to PLW and CU2.
Ensure social behaviour change communication strategies and interventions are developed and implemented to address barriers to adoption of improved nutrition practices among parents, care givers and lactating women.
2. Team Performance and project management:
Ensure a high performance management culture, open trustworthy relationships and integrity to enhance program officer’s smooth relations and accountability.
Provide supervision and support to program officers, and give technical assistance to government staff and consultants working within the program.
3. Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting;
Work together with M&E specialist in gathering, reporting and analysing performance data for impact and sustainability of project implementation in a region.
Support all monitoring, evaluation and research tasks and deliverables for the project and ensure that all required reports and documentation for the projects internal management systems are produced according to DFATD and WV Canada guidelines.
Ensure timely preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual progress reports on the status of project implementation
Ensure timely communication with the program officers, district and regional partners and other relevant partners to the project thereby maintaining strong relationships.
4. Networking, visibility and donor recognition:
Ensures ENRICH program interventions and donor are recognized by the government, partners and communities
Develop and support effective linkages and collaborate with Key structures to include CHMT, Community Based Organizations, other implementing partners (MI, Harvest plus and PRAXIS) and NGOs.
Represent WVT and Participate in networking meetings/workshops/conferences with GoT and other stakeholders at the district, regional and national level
Facilitate documentation and sharing of processes, challenges, good practices and lessons learnt among partners.
5. Financial and non-Financial resource management
Manage program assets, materials and financial resources to ensure Stewardship and accountability in the project.
Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
Minimum Qualification required:
Bachelor of Science in Home economics and human nutrition, Public Health or Community development, with experience in project planning and management.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years working experience in Health, and/or Nutrition projects at community level.
Other Competencies/Attributes:
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Swahili
Significant experience of working with government officials, multiple partners, community groups and communities.
Proven experience in facilitating effective project documentation and dissemination of results to a wide range of audiences. Attend and participate in the leadership of daily devotions.
Ability to take initiatives, team player who is able to work with minimum supervision
Good computer skills in MS office (Excel, word, PowerPoint etc)
Working Environment / Conditions:
Work environment: Willing to work in rural areas and be based at the Shinyanga region with frequent visits to the field
On call: During working hours unless there is an emergency
Senior Grant Finance Officer- Babati Pamoja Project

JOB DESCRIPTION
Purpose of the Position.
THRIVE Pamoja Project aims to enhance the resilience at the household and community level in the WVT Babati Cluster through strengthened food security and livelihood opportunities. Founded on the principles of Empowered World View, the project is designed to address the End to End Business of Farming, Natural Resource Management and Shocks, Emergencies and Situational Awareness Systems. In pursuit of this aim, the project is designed to strengthen agricultural and livestock production; strengthen livelihood opportunities and value chains critical to food security; improve water management, irrigation and land use techniques; strengthen market access and functionality; and facilitate shocks and emergencies awareness in the Babati Cluster.
To provide Financial Management and Administrative support to the Program as per WV policies and procedures. This position is for the development, management and smooth running of all financial management to the projects.
Major Responsibilities.
Grant Finance
Examine financial data for accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures and ensure financial integrity and build financial and resource management capacity.
Ensure timely submission of financial reports to Support Office.
Lead in the preparation and revision of budgets and implement budgetary management strategies.
Provide lead in budgetary control to ensure that activities are implemented within approved budget
Establish internal controls using policy and guidelines and generally accepted accounting standards for the prevention of waste and fraud.
2. Program & partners Management:
Carry out partners financial management capacity assessments before engagement.
Conduct periodical monitoring visits for review and physical verification of partners’ expenditure.
Receive and review partners’ financial reports and appropriately post their expenditure into the system
Conduct capacity building to partner organizations on finance management to ensure consistent, effective, and efficient project management.
Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
Bachelor degree in Accounting/Equivalent with minimum of five years in progressive working experience in similar environment with adequate exposure to project accounting, financial management including budgeting, grants and contracts.
Preferred CPA/ACCA
Grant Certification is a must.
Strong experience in grants and contracts is a must
Experience working with an international organization will be an added advantage
Excellent computer skills in Excel & Sun-systems software.
