Role overview
The Volunteer will take the lead in the design of all specialist Obstetrician/Gynaecological medical services at Kigoma Maweni Regional Referral hospital and strengthen services at district/local level health facilities.

Skills, qualifications and experience required
Qualified medical professional (MD specialized in 
Obstetrics/Gynaecology) with 5 years experience in the field.

Allowance and accommodation 

All volunteers have an allowance paid in local currency. The allowance meets reasonable living expenses in country, but will not be enough to send money home. 

VSO works with some of the poorest communities in the world which means accommodation varies and will be basic.

Volunteer is responsible for surgical services to patients, job training on surgical management to staff including intern medical doctors and clinical officers.

Skills, qualifications and experience required
Qualified Surgeon 
Applicant should have at least 3 years post-qualification experience
